Limo Dimensions

Through the years a lot of luxury cars have been called limos. But only specific cars and models actually fall into that category. The following are some of them.

Limo Dimensions: BMW F01

The BMW F01 uses a 6-speed ZF automatic or 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. The wheelbase is 3210 mm (126.4 in) and the width is 1902 mm (74.9 in). The length is 5212 mm (205.2 in) and the height is 1478 mm (58.2 in). The fuel capacity is 82 L (18 imp gal; 22 US gallons).

This model came out in January 2009. There are several variants available including the 750Li, 740Li, 750i and the 730d. There are also several engines that can be used. Among them are the 6.0L 552 PS (406 kW) twin turbo V12, the 4.4L 407 PS (299 kW) twin turbo V8 and the 3.0L 306 PS (225 kW) turbodiesel I6.

Limo Dimensions: Lincoln Town Car

The third generation models (1998-present) have a wheelbase measuring 123.7 in (3142 mm). The length is 221.4 in (5624 mm) and the width is 78.5 in (1994 mm). The height of Lincoln Town Car is 59.1 in (1501 mm). The curb weight is 4467 lbs (2100 kg). The fuel capacity is 19 US gallons (72 L; 16 imp gallons).    

The second generation (1990-97) has a wheelbase measuring 117.4 in (2982 mm). The length is 219.0 in (5563 mm) and the width is 76.7 in (1948 mm). The height is 56.9 in (1445 mm). The curb weight is 4040 lb (1818 kg). The fuel capacity is 20 US gal (76 L; 17 imp gal).

Limo Dimensions: Jaguar Mark 2

The Mark 2 X300 (1995–1997) uses a 3.2 L AJ16 I6 4.0 L AJ16 I6 engine. The transmission is 4-speed automatic. The wheelbase is 113 in (2870 mm) and the length is 197.8 in (5024 mm). The width is 70.8 in (1798 mm) and the height is 53.1 in (1349 mm).

The XJ40 has a wheelbase measuring 113 in (2870 mm). The length is 196.4 in (4989 mm) and the width is 79.3 in (2014 mm). The height is 53.1 in (1349 mm).

The X305 has a wheelbase measuring 117.9 in (2995 mm). The height is 53.5 in (1359 mm) and the width is 70.8 in (1798 mm) and the length 202.8 in (5151 mm).

Limo Dimensions: BMW E32 I1987-95)

The car has a 5-speed automatic and has a length of 4910 mm (193.3 in) / 5,024 mm (197.8 in) (middle & top end). The width is 1844 mm (72.6 in) and the height is 1412 mm (55.6 in) (base); 1,400 mm / 55.1 in (middle and top).

The fuel capacity is 81 L (21.4 US gal; 17.8 imp gal). The car has 5.0 L, 300 horsepower (220 kW) V12 engine. All the models also came in long versions that allowed for more legroom. The transmission used is 5-speed automatic.

The limo dimensions can and do change. The new models are always being reviewed. Even though new models are coming out, the older models have become prized by car collectors.
