Number one is Halo with 8.1 million copies sold. At number two is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with 7.481 million. Gears of War is at number three with 5 million. At the fourth slot is Gears of War 2 with 2 million. At fifth place is Call of Duty: Black Ops with 4.914 million.

Nintendo Wii

Number one is Wii Sports with 75.66 million followed by Wii Play with 27.38 million copies sold. Also one of the biggest selling video games of all time is Mario Kart Wii with 26.50 million. Number four is Wii Sports Resort with 26.35 million. At the fifth spot is Wii Fit with 22.61 million).

Sony PlayStation 3

The best selling game for the PS3 is Gran Turismo 5 with 6.37 million copies sold. Number 2 is Gran Turismo 5 Prologue with 5.20 million. At the third spot is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with 4.8 million copies. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is the fourth biggest seller with 3.8 million copies. MotorStorm is the fifth biggest with 3.31 million.

The biggest seller is Wii Sports with 75.66 million. It is bundled with the Wii everywhere except in Japan. At second place is Super Mario Bros with 40.24 million. It is bundled with the NES.

Tetris is the third biggest with 35 million copies sold. It is sold with Game Boy. At number five is Super Mario World. Packaged with SNES, over 20 million copies have been sold.

PC

This list includes all games sold for Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows. The expansion packs are not counted.

Number one is the Sims with 16 million copies. The Sims 2 is at second place with 13 million. World of Warcraft is at third place with 12 million copies.

StarCraft is the third biggest seller with 11 million. Half-Life is at fourth with 9.3 million copies sold. Half-Life 2 is the fifth biggest with 6.5 million copies sold.

The biggest selling video games for mobile phones are Tetris and Angry Birds. Both have sold over 100 million copies. Fruit Ninja is the second biggest seller with 20 million copies. At number three is Block Breaker Deluxe with 8 million copies. Sonic the Hedgehog has also sold 8 million copies.
