A2 Size Envelope

An A2 size envelope measures 4 3/8″ x 5 3/4″. It has a square flap and side seams. It is the smallest of all announcement envelopes.

Usage and Design

Although utilized as an announcement envelope, it can be used in other ways. The envelope can be used for storing photos, invitations, greeting cards etc. The specifications of these envelopes are similar to the baronial envelopes. The difference is in the design; baronial envelopes have a pointed flap and diagonal seams. However, their dimensions are the same.

Colors

The most popular are ivory, cream and white. But there are actually other colors to choose from. If the letter is formal, it is best to stick with subdued colors. Very dark or bright colors will be difficult to read. Contents for A2 size envelopes have to be 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.

Printing

Make sure the printer is big enough to contain the envelope. Place the envelope on the printer’s tray. Modify the settings. This can be done in your application’s printer dialog / print set up box. If you are using Word, click the Office button and choose Print.

Choose “Letters and Mailings” then “Envelopes and Labels”. On the “Envelopes” tab, click “Options”. After opening the “Envelope Options” tab, choose “Custom Size”. Change the figures to 5.75 inches for height and 4.83 inches for width. Click OK. Make any adjustments you want on the other printer settings. When you’re finished, you can now print in the A2 size.
