Choosing a Lantern

Brightness is just one aspect to consider; think also of getting one that is weather proof as you’ll never know when it’s going to rain. The light longevity is of course very essential. Also bear in mind that some models don’t have an ignition; you’ll have to turn them on with matches. You need to remember that when shopping for lanterns.

The lantern size and weight will be an issue if you camp often or move around. Also keep in mind that the type (i.e., family, compact size etc) will affect its specs.
