There are many intermodal container sizes, and this does not just refer to the ones listed below. Many other dimensions are used by manufacturers, either to carry extra large items or special cargo.

20 Ft Container Specifications

Its external dimensions are 20′ 0 in x 8′ 0 in x 8′ 6 in (L x W x H). That is equal to 6.096 m x 2.438 m x 2.438 m. The interior dimensions are 18′ 10 5⁄16 x 7′ 8 19⁄32 in x 7′ 9 57⁄64 in / 5.758 m x 2.352 m x 2.385 m (L x W x H).

40′ High Cube Container Specifications

The external dimensions are 45′ 0 in x 8′ 0 in x 9′ 6 in (13.716 m x 2.438 m x 2.896 m; L x W x H). The inner dimensions are 44′ 4 in x 7′ 8 19⁄32 in x 8′ 9 15⁄16 in (L x W x H).

The intermodal container sizes above are regarded as standards. Except for those times when special deliveries have to be made, these sizes will work out fine for cargos and goods.
