Chimney starter sizes are as diverse as the product designs. Some are 8 x 9 x 8 inches, 10 x 9 x 7 inches and 11 x 7 x 8 inches. The average length is 12 to 18 inches. The average diameter is eight inches. Even though their dimensions vary, they all do the same thing.

Purpose

This apparatus is used for setting charcoals on fire. The starter is frequently utilized when there is no lighter fluid. Lighter fluid is usually the first choice for lighting coals.

Utilization

You should also make sure the handle is attached well. Poorly designed starters have handles that come off after a while. Even so, most users would recommend wearing gloves to prevent burns.

Once the charcoal is lit, you can gather it via the handle. Tongs or similar tools can be used to take out the coals. Regardless of the chimney starter sizes, it will remain hot after its use. You should
handle it carefully.

These starters are usually very easy to use. However, you should still be careful about handling anything that is flammable. As long as the charcoals are lighted properly you can cook burgers, hotdogs, steaks or whatever it is you have in mind.

The amount you can cook depends on the capacity. This will vary per starter, so some research is necessary.
