The Jeep YJ 1987-89 models are 152.6 in (3876 mm) long, while the 1990-92 versions are 153 in (3886 mm) long. The 1993-95 models are 151.9 in (3860 mm) long. The width is 66 in (1676 mm). The height is 71.9 in (1825 mm) for the 1993-95 models.
For the 1993-95 Soft Top, the height is 72 in (1827 mm) while for the 1987–1992 Hardtop it is 69.6 in (1769 mm). The fuel capacity is 15 U.S. gal. Some models have a higher capacity at 20 U.S. gal. The wheelbase is 93.4 in (2373 mm) for all the models.

The wheelbase is 93.4 in (2,370 mm (standard) or 103.4 in (2,630 mm) LWB. The length of the 1997-99 models is 151.2 in (3841 mm). For the 2000-03 models it is 155.4 in (3947 mm); for the 2004-06 SWB it is 154.9 in (3934 mm), while the 2004-06 LWB is 171 in (4343 mm) long.
The width for the 1997–2003, 2004-06 LWB is 68.3 in (1735 mm); for the 2004-06 SWB it is 66.7 in (1694 mm). The height is 70.2 in (1784 mm) for the 1997-99 models, 71.1 in (1805 mm) for the 2000-01 versions and 70.9 in (1800 mm) for the 2002-03 & 2004-06 LWB. For the 2004-06 SWB models it is 71.2 in (1808 mm).
The dimensions of a Jeep Wrangler in the TJ class give it a fuel capacity of 15 U.S. gal (57 L; 12 imp gal). Others have a capacity of 19 U.S. gal (72 L; 16 imp gal). The jeep is a 2 door convertible. The engines used are 2.5 L AMC 150, 2.4 L PowerTech I4 and 4.0 L AMC 242 I6.
The transmissions are 3-speed automatic, 6-speed manual, 5-speed Aisin AX-15 manual and 4-speed automatic. A right hand version of the vehicle became available for export to other countries. The TJ Wrangler Rubicon came out in 2003.

The wheelbase is 95.4 in (2423 mm) for the 2-door and 116 in (2945 mm) for the 4-door. The length is 152.8 in (3880 mm) for the 2-door and 173.4 in (4405 mm) for the 4-door. The width is 73.7 in (1872 mm) for the 2-door and 73.9 in (1877 mm) for the 4-door.
The height is 70.9 in (1800 mm). For the 2-door Rubicon it is 72.3 in (1836 mm). The fuel capacity is 21.6 U.S. gal (82 L; 18.0 imp gal). The engine is 3.8 L EGH V6 and the transmissions are 4-speed automatic and 6-speed manual. All the JK models have the anti-lock braking system installed.
